“The creative conversations with colleagues are what develops ”food talk”.”
Pär Andersson, Chef AVEQIA Stockholm.
Background: Pär has worked at several top class restaurants in Stockholm and he has also run his own restaurants. In 2010 he was Östgöta-chef of the year and in 2011 he was awarded the Hagdahls scholarship for his engagement in locally grown produce and his way of using this in a highly creative way.
The last three years Pär has hosted a show on Swedish radio P4 where he discusses food trends and gives tips and ideas to listeners.
”The best thing about having had a long career is that I know the ”old” classic kitchen as well as the remarkable development that the restaurant industry has undergone in the last few years and this is what motivates me to always evolve.
In my free time I like to hang out with my family, go to soccer matches, run Marathons and preferably longer races than that. At the moment I’m trying to learn about the edible herbs in nature.
Since my kids moved out, the times when they come to dinner have become big affairs where we have everything from classical stews to seven course dinners.”
