Antech is a wine producer in the the sixth generation, located in southern France where the conditions are extremely good for Crèmant of high quality. The location; 400 meters above sea level creates a cooler climate and an ideal climate for grapes. Documents show that sparkling wine has been produced in this area since 1531 and there are also records that show that the monk Dom Pérignon (who “invented” Champagne according to legend) visited Limoux before he created Champagne for the first time. The Limoux Crèmant can thus be considered the precursor of Champagne.
Vinification & Terroir
The wine is fermented for 18 months on its lees in each individual bottle to form delicate bubbles. This is the same process as for Champagne, known as Methode Ancestrale or the “Champagne method”.
Fresh and crispy style and with a deep flavour of brioche and ripe red apples. Champagne-like style with a round acidity.
