Martin och Dixie Van der Kamp acquired the vineyard kin 1989, which was already planted with mainly pinot noir vines. The family has worked biodynamically over the past 20 years, still there is no certification on the labels as the owners believe that it is should go without saying for all quality wines. The vineyard is run today by the couple’s son who is creating high quality pinot noir wines together with the world famous winemaker Greg LaFollete.
Winemaking and terroir
After fermentation the wine is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Terroir: Volcanic clay.
Clear notes of ripe raspberries and cranberries in elegant style with a very long aftertaste.
