Côte-de-Nuits Village, Réserve de la Comtesse, Sylvain Loichet
The story of Domaine Loichet begins after the WWII, when lots of stone was required to build new residential buildings. In order to buy stone that was needed to build houses, people in Burgundy turned to the Loichet family who were stone-scavengers. As payment, the family received shares in vineyards, and from these Sylvaine Loichet produces his wines today. He works according to ecological principles, and his wines hold the official organic certifications.
