The vines at Domaine d’Edouard’s property were planted in the 1960’s. In the end of the 1990’s the property became one of the first vineyards of the region to become certified as organic. The property was sold to 32 year old Mr. Edouard Lepesme in 2014 and this is his second vintage.
Winemaking and terroir
After fermentation the wine is matured on temperature regulated stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on the lees for 6-7 months.
Terroir: Kimmeridge and clay (similar to the terroir in the Chablis area)
This is a light and fresh wine with notes of citrus and green apples as well as minerality. There is also an elegnant soft tone of caramel both in the nose and on the palate.
