A lot has happened since the vineyards were planted with the same grapes as in Champagne in 2003. Mr. Malcolm Isaac acquired the property in 2009 and has made many improvememtns since then. Today Exton Park is producing some of the best sparkling wines in the UK. All buildings are made from organic materials and great effort is put into making the winemaking process as sustainable as possible.
Winemaking & terroir
The traditional method (same as in Champagne) is used to produce the wines from Exton Park and they are resting on the lees for 24 months. The terroir in Hmpshire is similar to the one in Champagne due to the same piece of land, rich in limestone, that stretches from Champagne and under the English Channel.
This is a wine with good freshness and acidity with tones of citrus, pear and minerality but also a toasty richness. The mousse is elegant and makes this a gastronomic wine that is very pleasant to drink.
