The Montand family has their roots in Champagne. During world war 2 they were forced to leave their region to settle down in Jura, close to the Swiss border. Since then they have continued to produce high quality sparkling wine in Jura.
“Blanc de Blancs” means that only green grape varieties have been used for this wine. The French words translate into “white from whites”, meaning white wine from white grapes.
Wine production and terroir
This wine has been aged on the lees, giving the wine notes of bread. It is produced the same way as Champagne with a second fermentation in the individual bottle. This gives the wine small creamy bubbles.
Terroir: Chalk with clay and quartz.
Clear notes of yellow fruit and apricot with toast and a fresh finish.
Chardonnay, Colombard and Ugni blanc
