History
This is Germany’s oldest wine producer. Monks were growing grapes here as early as 1136 AD. All grapes used in the making of this wine come from a vineyard called Steinberger, owned by Kloster Eberbach for 800 years.
Wine production and terroir
The wine is fermented on steel tanks and after that rested for 6-9 months prior to bottling. The terroir is mainly clay with some slate.

This Spätburgunder is fresh on the nose with notes of red berries such as stawberries and raspberries and fine, light spice.
