Wine production and terroir
This wine is made with grapes from the family’s own vineyard Mangan in Wilyabrup. The vineyard is located 5 kilometers from the ocean so the climate is dominated by maritime influences that, together with a generous amount of sun, provides excellent conditions for the grapes. The grapes are harvested on the day when the moon is right opposite Saturn as this is considered to provide nutrition and minerality to the grapes. After the fermentation. the wine is matured for 2 minths in French oak barrels.
The aromas are rich and nuanced with tones of fresh green apple, pears and lime zest. The flavours are complex, fresh and elegant with notes of pink grapefruit, minerality and honeysuckle.
58% Sauvignon blanc, 42% Verdelho
