The Oliver Sivill family is above all lovers of Penedès; the country, its vineyards and its landscapes. They are winegrowers, proud of the legacy of their ancestors and the land that is passed down from generation to generation.
The family currently has vineyards in different parts of the Penedès: Subirats, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Sant Martí Sarroca, Torrelles de Foix and Font-rubí. 12 different grape varieties are grown here on a total of 55 hectares.
In 2010, the family started a new adventure: to bottle a small part of the grape production. The company OLIVER VITICULTORS was created with the spirit of continuing the cultivation of the vineyard and producing cavas and, in the future, still wines.
In the cellar of the Cal Xic de l’Agustí farm, wine had been produced until the mid-1960s, when this business was abandoned to sell the grapes to third parties, which is common among Penedès wine farmers. That is why this activity was resumed with great joy and thus the old vineyard was restored to enable the storage of the bottles. The premises have also been adapted to be able to serve customers and visitors.
In 2013, a dream came true when the first cava was launched on the market: Sadurni Oliver Brut Nature, Sadurni Oliver Brut Rosat and Oliver Viticultores Brut Nature.
A cava with a minimum storage of 24 months on the lees
This cava is very fresh and full of red fruit, especially blackberries and raspberries. The aromas are due to the fact that this wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The fine bubbles are well integrated, and the aftertaste is pleasant and full of red fruit.
