In the 1950’s, Domaine Coursodon started selling their wines in Paris by transporting barrels by rail. They later started promoting their wines by the bottle as one of the first producers from the Rhône valley to do so.
The vineyard is currently run by the 5th generation of the same family and they still make wine with great precision and focusing on the details in makng an excellent quality product.
Winemaking and terroir
The wine is being matured in old 600 litres oak barrels for 12 months. This is the most common maturation technique in the Northern Rhône area.
The terroir is a mix of granite and slate.
This is a full-bodied wine rich in tannins. It has a deep concentration of fruit and tones of dark berries as well as white pepper.
